This is the page for ENGL4310, a capstone course offered by Susan Brown in the English program at the University of Guelph in the fall 2015 semester.
We are investigating collaboratively the place of writing in the digital age from a number of complementary perspectives. We’re looking at the role that writing, including literature, has in an increasingly digital world, and the challenges and opportunities involved in writing for digital media. We’ll be considering some of the scholarly debates surrounding digital textuality, and experimenting with a number of digital environments designed to facilitate research and writing. Everyone in the course will undertake to write a major project digitally, and reflect on the process.
